Even in the matter of the envoys of the rulers of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that had happened in the land, God left him alone only to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

I had been very busy at work the past days and will still be very busy the coming days. Reading the Bible and meditating the Word of God has been a bit of a struggle since most of the time my mind is pre-occupied by the things about work. At times, I feel less of the presence of God because of not much time I spend with Him, which makes me also feel alone.
This passage is a welcome reminder for me. God is testing my heart, having to work really hard is good but I have to guard my heart whether I get my satisfaction by working for hours more than my quiet time. The Lord is also letting me see how seemingly innocent things can be my idol, things that I prioritizes over my relationship with God.
I know that t is easier said than done, but I will try my best with the grace of God to manage my time well. Of course, for sure God wants me to honor Him through my job, it is just I need to balance things and be reminded of my priorities.
